The fraudulent evangelist Jonas Dickinson
(Ettore Manni) and womanizer Mark Taylor (Bud Randall) get wind of a rich goldmine and plan to exploit it. Gangsterboss Miller
(Gordon Mitchell), who experiences from the find too, has no desire to dig for himself: Thus he tells the inhabitants of the
small town Denver of the goldmine. While the greedy citizens get off to dig in the dust, Miller makes himself mayor of the
place. He waits for the return of the golddiggers to recover them from their booty. The calculation seems to tally, but Miller
doesn't figure on Jonas and Mark.
The Gunslingers says:
Comedy-Western, produced by
Demofilo Fidani ("Miles Deem") in 1973, copying the style of the Spencer/Hill movies. The film is lousy, but not so completely,
as it's director let it suspect. Ettore Manni ("Red Carter") and Bud Randall don't make a bad job, and despite the scandalous
story with its illogical time jumps, there are actually some halfway funny ideas.
