Gunslinger Johnny Texas is a bad finger: Searched because of murder and bank
robbery, he has to await a comfortable place on the gibbet. Therefore it's easy for Colonel Stuart (Fernando Sancho), boss
of the Rangers, to convince the rascal to do him a little favour against punishing deduction. Johnny has to eleminate the
gang of his old buddy O'Connor (Howard Ross) by money or force: The bandits keep occupied an important col and raid the passing
seddlers. The deal with O'Connor seems to succeed, but at the first opportunity he already shits on the arrangement and harry
a convoy to capture the transported gold and above all the dynamite. Together with Ranger agent Lucia (Monica Brugger) and
three prisoners of his former gang, who are released for that purpose, Johnny receives a last chance to excavate the desperados
and to defang the dynamite.

The Gunslinger says:
Could be a good and dirty little Western. The protagonists knows neither
friend nor enemy and go over corpses for dollars. In addition the film has a completely self-willed, extremely brutal and
bizarre atmosphere. But the production is rather crappy and the acting efforts are unsatisfactory: in particular Howard Ross
and the former Miss Bavaria, Monica Brugger. Fernando Sancho is OK like always; but his fair
hair is quite strange (Yiiieeek!). Good Score of Marcello Gigante, even of the bugging church-bells at the beginnning of the
film.
Rating: $$$-
Bodycount: ca. 80 Gringos, 5 Mexicans, 1 Woman
Explicit brutalities:
- Women are humans of second class. They are beaten, at best the men
dice to gain them.
- Johnnys love Rosita (Rosalba Neri in a short appearance) is raped and
killed by an unknown from O'Connors gang. Thereupon Johnny and O'Connor shoot short hand eight suspected men. O'Connors remark
shows finally the basic tendency of the entire film: "Doesn't matter, who is the killer:Those do not earn to live anyway."
Luv:
Johnny treats his women like shit, but Rosita, later on Lucia, seem to like it: 1/10
Splatter: 0/10
