A bunch of Mexicans kills old Foster after a big horse deal is failed. The desperados deprive the corpse of 10.000 bucks. Foster’s son, Django (Ivan Rassimov), swears revenge. Together with Corrico (Ignazio Spalla, a real sly dog, Django starts his campaign to blow off the Mexicans and to regain the dough. But meanwhile there are lots of interested parties for the money: i.e. shifty gambler Gray (Celso Faria) and rich rancher Don Alfredo (Gino Buzzanca). The latter organizes the kidnapping of Django’s sister Mary (Rada Rassimov) in order to force Django to hand out the money.

The Gunslinger says:

Above average Spag-Western with a poco confused story, made by Edoardo Mulargia in 1967. Dusty atmosphere, great camera work and a good trumpet- and guitar-based score guarantee a quite entertaining film. The basic tone is violent: Men don’t talk, just shoot, and people are only driven on by the greed for money.

Rating: $$$+

Explicit brutalities:

The usual Spag-style: women are maltreated, and hostages die much faster as they can realize. Hey, that’s how life goes in Mexico
