Loni v. Friedl's a deep me

D: Giuliano Carnimeo („Anthony Ascott“); S: Tito Carpi, Francesco Scardamaglia, Bruno Leder, Enzo Castellari; C: Stelvio Massi; M: Francesco di Masi; with: Jorge Hill („George Hilton“), Walter Barnes, Horst Frank, Giorgio Sanmartino, Carlo Alighiero

It’s a matter of money, many money, exactly: gold groat 500.000 dollars. The treasure was hidden by a general of the confederate army before he was killed by the Yanks. Now we see several parties chasing after it. First there are the general’s brother Forester (Carlo Alighiero), a bloody rich cattle baron, and his lunatic son, Jason (Horst Frank). Forester, who reigns the small town Hunch City, has kidnapped his niece Regina (Loni v. Friedl) to ask her about the hideaway of her father’s gold. Then we have Lord (Jorge Hill) and Bull (Walter Barnes), two really tough pros, who work for their own account. Third party is Trent (Giorgio Sanmartino), formerly the general’s right hand, who takes care for Regina, who sits in a wheelchair, since she was a child. And not to forget Regina herself, who’s a deep me. The solution of the riddle is hidden in a small booklet with poems. Whereas everybody bamboozles everybody, Lord and Bull pull the strings in one hand and hold their guns in the other.

The Gunslinger says:

Once again a quite good work, delivered by Carnimeo in 1968, once again with good „George Hilton“ in the main role. A good look, thanks to the ambitous work of proved Stelvio Massi, a nice di-Masi-score, combined with a tough atmosphere ad up to an above average spaghettiwestern with decent comedy elements. Under the capable actors sticks out insane Horst Frank as a sadistic pest.
